The Rosetta Dynasty was a state that once existed in the south of Midgard. It is the source of the Year-Long War which involved the entire continent.
History[]
In 578 C.C., Xehnon, a servant of Rosetta, became possessed by a divine book of tremendous power which he found by accident, the Manuscript of Manifestation, and, under its spell, he managed to become the court sorcerer to get close to the king of Rosetta. Eventually, Xehnon was able to persuade the king into invading the rest of the continent. Ehrde, Adonis, Crescent and Ehlen all served as generals under him. In 581 C.C., He sent Ehrde to assassinate Khanon, lord of Gorhla, as he was being anointed as a pope in Audoula Temple on the Lake. In the same year, the country invaded Lassen, as Xehnon ordered Ehrde and Adonis to kidnap Celes, one of the Seventeen Commanders of Camille and formerly Princess of Dipan, while his husband, the king of Lassen was away. Eventually, Celes willingly decided to join Rosetta's cause in their attempt to unify the continent. The invasion of Lassen sparked Year-Long War, which spanned in the entire continent. The two factions involved in the war were, on one side, Rosetta and the occupied territory of Lassen, and on the other, an alliance of Arkdain, Paltierre, Dipan - whose navy led by Queen Phyress was said to be ten times the size of their army - and the rebel forces of Lassen.
At the end of 581 C.C., the war ended with the Battle of Rosetta, where the allied nations surrounded Rosetta to put an end to the madness. The final battle then took place and it culminated in the Manuscript of Manifestation being burned by Phyress, and thus Xehnon's curse being broken, and Rosetta losing the war.
