Ull is a minor character from Valkyrie Profile and Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria appearing as a boss in the Royal Underground Path in the latter.
Personality[]
Ull is depicted as a playful, youthful child. He shares the view Aesir supremacy, however to a much lesser degree. He has shown respect to Einherjar.
Story[]
Valkyrie Profile
Ull makes minor appearances during Sacred Phase and can challenge Janus and Kashell to playful duels. He also participates in the battle of Jotunheim while Lenneth infiltrates Jotunheim Palace to fight Surt with her Einherjar.
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria
Ull is guarding the passage into Dipan during Hrist's destruction of the city. He greets Silmeria as a friend, and possibly a crush, and asks her to come back to Valhalla. Alicia requests to speak to him, but to no avail. He is enraged that a human would dare speak to him, and engages in combat. He loses and is not heard from again. One would assume he returned to Asgard as Ull is alive during Ragnarok.
Ull can be fought again in the Seraphic Gate, as Ull in Highsocks. He drops one of the best bows in the game, the Soothsayer Bow.
Etymology[]
Ull is an alternative name for the god Ullr. Both possess a bow which they use for combat. Ull's Soul Crush's animation could be a reference to Ullr, as he lived in icy regions, much like the Soul Crush which features shards of ice.
